Founded in 1980, the King’s School is a private independent Christian faith school based in Fair Oak on the outskirts of Eastleigh. The school has recently undergone a huge renovation project meaning that the nursery, primary and senior schools are now all located on the same site. This included the relocation of the King’s Primary School from Quob Lane, Southampton to the main site in Fair Oak.

As a Christian faith school, the curriculum is planned around the key principles and teachings of the Bible. However the National Curriculum is considered incredibly important by the school and it adheres to it’s framework, whilst not being completely limited by it. Key Stage and GCSE examinations are given as standard in line with non-denominational schools. Regular progress-tracked numeracy and literary tests are also a key feature of the school’s curriculum.

The King’s School has many facilities including playing fields, new classrooms, hall, science laboratories and a large art studio. There is also a busy extra curricular calendar with regular camps and recent trips skiing and to Rwanda as recent examples.

Yearly admissions places are set by the Governors and parents of prospective pupils must adhere to the waiting list and application deadlines set by the school. Pre-arranged visits and meetings with the Head are encouraged and trial days are also offered as a way of children becoming accustomed to the school and to get a feel for the atmosphere. Further information on the admissions process can be obtained via the contact details above.
