Hampshire Collegiate School has a rich history, perhaps most famously as the home of Florence Nightingale from around 1825-1853. The school in it’s current form was established in 2005, with the merging of Embley Park School and Atherley School. Set in 130 acres, Hampshire Collegiate School is heavily focused on development of music, sports, design and technology and performing arts.

As well as a comprehensive music department, dedicated performing arts centre and cuting edge computer equipment, this private school boasts a very impressive range of sporting facilities. These include a gym, athletics track, huge indoor sportshall, outdoor tennis courts, an artificial pitch with floodlights, a golf course and an outdoor swimming pool, amongst much more.

For parents considering enrolling their child, HCS encourages pre-arranged visits and also host open days at select times throughout the year. These usually include introductions to staff and pupils, admission procedure information as well as hearing directly from the Principle of the school. Because of the many performing arts, musical and sporting events held at the school, these are also treated as excellent opportunities to for parents and potential pupils to get a taster for the atmosphere.

The admissions process includes a orientation visitation around the school and requires an application fee, a formal exam and interview. Hampshire Collegiate School does offer boarding facilities and scholarships for pupils meeting certain criteria. Further detailed information should be obtained from the school directly via the contact details given above.
