Brookham School is a private independent coeducational nursery and pre-prep school for pupils aged 2 – 8. It was created in 1992 and is set in 175 acres in the East Hampshire village of Liphook near the West Sussex border, about 18 miles south west of Guildford and 26 miles west of Winchester. The school teaches around 210 pupils and is situated on the campus of Highfield Preparatory School, though it is housed in it’s own buildings and is run separately.

Brookham School benefits from all the facilities of Highfield School including excellent sporting facilities such as a sports hall and huge playing fields. There are also a great range of academic facilities at Brookham, which has extensive classrooms, an ICT centre, library and a play area. There is also the ‘Forest School’ which is a treehouse style classroom set in the woodland on the grounds. The youngest children go to the woodland classroom once every week for many activities including team building and nature studies.

The school operates a thriving house system which comprises of 3 houses, each with appointed house captains and have proved to be an excellent way of all the age groups interacting with each other. There is strong emphasis on the older children taking care and responsibility of the younger children and there is a great variety of inter-House competitions and activities.

Admission into Brookham School Nursery and Pre-prep is very informal, with no formal examinations or assessments required. Parents and children are encouraged to come to one of the man open days throughout the year, or they can contact the school to arrange a visit at another time of year. Children joining at the Reception stage (age 4) are usually invited to spend a taster day at the school to get a feel for the environment and for an informal assessment of the child’s educational needs. Further information from the school can be obtained via the contact details above.
